The story behind the voice

Shameless Voices has been quietly taking shape for years, even before I understood what it was becoming. I believe silence is one of shame’s greatest allies. My own silence began when I was eleven years old, and it took decades to see how much of my life had been shaped by what I never said aloud.

I write to break that alliance, to give language to the places we’ve suffered without words, because what we can name, we no longer have to carry alone. Healing isn’t linear, but given enough space, it learns how to breathe.
