The story behind the voice

Shameless Voices has been evolving quietly over the years, even before I understood what it was becoming. I believe silence is one of shame’s greatest allies. My own silence began when I was eleven years old, and it took decades to see how much of my life had been molded by unspoken words.

I write to break that alliance, to give language to the places we’ve suffered without words, because what we can name, we no longer have to carry alone. Healing isn’t linear, but given enough space, it learns how to breathe.
