About Me: My Journey to Healing + Self-Discovery

Nicole, founder of Shameless Voices

Over the years Shameless Voices has been quietly taking shape, even before I understood what it was becoming. My hope has always been, somewhere in these words, you will feel seen, understood, and hopeful. That you will find a deeper connection to the Creator, Yahweh, the Universe (whichever resonates for you); Just as importantly, a deeper connection to yourself. Above all, I hope you discover the courage to speak your truth without the loudness of shame.

I believe silence is one of shame’s greatest allies. Somewhere along the way, whether through trauma, disappointment, or simply survival, many of us learned to silence our own voices. My personal silence began when I was eleven years old. It would take decades before I understood how much of my life had been shaped by what I never said aloud. For years, I believed strength meant carrying everything alone. It took time to realize that healing often begins when we stop carrying it in silence.

I write to break the alliance.

I write to give language to the places people have suffered without words, because what we can name, we no longer have to carry alone. I write for those whose faith has carried them through darkness and into light, time and time again.

Healing isn’t linear, but given adequate space it can learn how to breathe in the open air and exhale the dead weight.

If my words help even one person replace shame with truth, silence with courage, or fear with faith, then every chapter of my own story has served a purpose.

If you are here, there is likely a part of your story that has been waiting for language. I hope you find some of it here.

Welcome to Shameless Voices.
